Have to say - all HUNTER videos on UA-cam are top notch quality! Very professional, simple, quality information, easy to follow and understand.
Wow, thanks!
I am confused on the points below. I am using App version 1.0.669 (the latest, asof June 12, 2024) with a Hunter X2 and Wand, with a rain sensor on an iPhone. I did not find the answers to these in this playlist. 1. In my app, there is no Naming a program (0:41). 2. In addition, there is a Preconfigured Schedule that I can change. What is this? Why is that page asking for a duration (it mentions 'this zone' somewhere in it -- which zone does it refer to)? This item does have a name area, unlike program. How do I use this Preconfigured Schedule? 3. I want to store multiple programs, like Normal Summer and Drought Summer. How do I make one program run and not the other? 4. I want to change the running time for each Zone based on the program (normal or drought). But bizarrely, the times are tied to the Zones, not the program (in my app, unlike in yours 2:02). In my app, there is no way to change the watering duration in the Program page. 5. When I click on Start the Program, it asks me to choose a program that I want to run. The programs have no name, so it is hard to figure out which to run.
Came here because I thought start times were stations and was flooding my plants!
Genuinely the best video on this topic I've ever seen. It finally all makes sense.
Thank you for the video!!
Thank you so much! Your video was the clearest, most thorough and helpful of the ones I've watched!
Glad it was helpful!
Mine keeps rotating 360’. Help
Does anyone know how to set up or “sense” zones? The batteries died, I replaced them but now it only shows 1 zone, and I thought this thing ran 2-3?
Can an AcuRite Weather station be connected to the sprinkler system?
Hunter Hydrawise controllers get weather data from a separate network of weather stations for accurate, local conditions. They will not connect to third party weather stations.
Do you have a similar video for the G75 rotor ???
Not yet but thanks for another idea to go on the list!
Very easy to understand & follow along. I was skeptical on how to wire an A & B system. Now I have some confidence in adding to wire the B valve controller. Thks
What causes station surging? I replaced a module and that didn’t change anything. So I wired a couple stations together.
Can I adjust the radius also on RCS 515 and LCS 515 left and right strips?
So can I add this module to a exsisting time clock. Let’s say a esp-Me or does it have to be used with a specific Hunter time clock
Hunter Wireless Valve Link modules are compatible with specific Hunter controllers.
The video shows cutting out the valve on one side, but not unscrewing it from the union on the other side. It would have been nice to see that. How is the clearance created and how much clearance is needed? Is there a danger of breaking the pipe on the other side of the union if the screw threads are frozen? How do professionals handle these things? Don't understand why tutorial videos skip some important steps and spend a lot of time on the easier steps.
Valve installation and repair techniques vary by region. There isn't one standard across the US not the globe. Meet with your local irrigation professional or Hunter distributor for details that best fit your region.
Thank you for these... they are so helpful
Love it, we're glad it helps!
i have a partial station that wont shut off. i have a bottle top valve and have replaced the top. this happens even when the power is completely disconnected and only way to shut it off is to turn on another station at which time it comes back on when that station stops. only stops by shutting off the water supply.
After 10 years, it is still a lifesaver🙂 Thank you Hunter!!
Great video and explanation, thanks!!
You're welcome!
Hi, I just installed this Junter irrigation system and I am having the following issue. The irrigation center is configured to use zone 6 as master valvule. All zone are already configured in the connector. When I link the programmer to the app Hydrawise the configuration of zone 6 as master valvule got lost and the irrigation system does not work properly. Any clue what could be happening? In the end, I am not able to use the app to manage the programmer
Having the same issue. Following.

Unfortunately, in my case the connection is unstable - immediately after setting up the application, watering is turned on/off through the application without problems. After a few minutes it stops, the X2-601-E controller displays “OFFLINE”. After resetting the WAND module to factory settings everything again successfully connects and watering can be started several times until it goes offline again. The wifi signal level in the Hydrawise app shows “High”. Internet access is stable. Perhaps anyone have had this problem before?

I did all the settings correctly but the problem is that the water pump switches on every about 5 to 10 minutes and lasts few seconds then stops??!!!
This guy’s the goat
These videos still hold up. Thanks Mike!
Suddenly disconnected and now won't connect to my wifi again. Keep getting Incorrect Password. How do you get help with this? Is there support?

This is a great video!!! Many thanks!!
Glad you liked it!
Love the video and problem solving! Now if there was a video for leaking/seeping valves basically valves that won’t turn off that would be ideal
Thanks for the idea, we'll add it to our list!
There’s no way to set a start day and end day for a program. Where did that option go? My current programs ends in June and I have no way to extend it??? There is no calendar option.
At zones/programs, you can set a start time and watering days. The program will end after all the zones in the program have completed. Fot more programming details, please contact our customer support department here: www.hunterindustries.com/hunter-technical-support-email-request
It's under advanced settings in the program. Selecting/deselecting the start/stop toggles will give you a calendar. I do like the older format better
For decades my husband did the sprinklers, now he cant. Now I have to figure it out. Ladies, this is the one you want to use. Definitley adjust while its running. MUCH easier. And if you don't like your right stop, you can manually turn it a few degrees.
great tutorial thank you somuch
Glad you liked it
I have it plugged in and I can't even get any blinking lights or any lights to pop up and after I went ahead and changed sockets I still can't get it to turn on
Is there a way to tell if the diaphragm is damaged or causing the leak? how long do they last? thanks.
Shut off the water supply, and remove the bolts holding the valve bonnet or top. Remove the diaphragm and while inspecting it, play close attention to the mating surfaces. Debris in the valve can damage the seat and cause the valve to remain open and leak.
So now what ? It says no AC but has 27.5 volts at the terminal

Trying the new mobile version, assuming the desktop version will be more user friendly. On the prior version I could see the current draw for all solenoids on one screen. In the new version it appears that I now have to click on each zone then swipe to the last run date then click the down arrow to see the current draw. The new Reports screen does not appear to include the ability to see all the zones on one screen. Very cumbersome when one has 39 zones. Especially when one is trouble shooting and running one vs. two solenoids. The navigation bar at the bottom of the home screen is dark blue and the choices are barely visible. Have you tried to use this in sunlight? You might add how to add photos to a zone.
Wow. I’ve been looking for a video like this for so long!!! Thank you for cutting my water bill in half!
Too many start times is a quick way to waste water and have unhealthy plants.
Thank you, thank you.
Glad that you found the video helpful.
Fantastic video! Thank you!
Easy peasy
Right? Once you know, you know!
Great presentation. Thank you!
I recently replaced the top of a hunter pgv valve because it was not opening. Turned out to be corroded wires but since I had it open anyway I replaced the top and solonoid. When I ran it it ran just fine but that station ran with every other station...went in and rewired. Same issues...so....pulled the top off and saw debris in the bowl of the valve. I got out my shop vac and vacuumed the whole line out then reconnected everything. worked! I think debris was holding the valve open or the diaphragm wasnt seated properly...
Debris trapped in a valve body can prevent the diaphragm from fully seating. It can look like just a few heads are operating or it may look like the entire zone is running at a lower flow. Disassemble, inspect, and flush.
Not true. Manual start for the whole program when you push the right arrow it just runs through the zones until you take your finger off the arrow but there is no way to start manually, all it does is manually advance the zone numbers really fast.
This video shows an older version of controllers that may not match what you have installed. You may want to contact our customer support department here: www.hunterindustries.com/hunter-technical-support-email-request
Thanks for a well explanation
Glad it was helpful!
What's the difference between the program A B and C
A program has a unique start time, individual watering days, and a separate grouping of zones that will run with the program. Here's a good summary of program concepts: ua-cam.com/video/Wkqj07d65KQ/v-deo.html
Just like what everyone is saying, this is the best instruction ever.
So glad it's helped!
How do I turn it back on after winterizing. For summer start up. It's already programed.
Your NODE battery powered controller may have had the program turned off, watering days turned off, or run times turned off. Visit www.hunterindustries.com/irrigation-product/controllers/node for the NODE instructions.
Probably a stupid question, but at the top of the solenoid is says, On, Off and 1/4 Turn. What way are you turning it?
Rotating the solenoid 1/4 turn counter clockwise will allow the valve to manually operate. Be careful, the valve will run until you turn the solenoid back 1/4 turn.
Is it possible to connect two sensors to an X2 controller that has only one pair of sensor terminals? For example, I would like to connect both a soil moisture sensor and a wireless rain sensor. If this is supported, how is the wiring done: in parallel (one wire from each sensor to each sensor terminal) or in series?
When two sensors are wired in a series, either one can break the sensor path and stop irrigation.
Helps a lot 🙏🌹
Glad to hear that
Thank you excellent video directions - so easy when the directions are clearly explained.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This product is awesome. Elevating the irrigation contractors tools set.
Fantastic! We're looking forward to seeing your installations of the Wireless Valve Link.
Thanks i official have stopped giving hundreds to others and fix my sprinklers myself!❤
That's great!
